Promoting mobility and transparency for fourth level logistics and transport qualifications
To be competitive, logistics companies across Europe require an efficient and organised transport and distribution function. To enable this, a skilled and competent workforce is required.
However, the training offer available does not always meet the needs of the sector. For example, in some European countries there are no EQF Level 4 qualifications to help with the progression and development of professionals.
The project aims to bridge the gap between supply and demand by developing 4th EQF Level qualifications for logistics and transport activities, which will help to improve the competences of workers and trainees. The qualifications will be defined in accordance with the principles of ECVET (KSC, LOs, Unit of LOs, points), using the methodology developed by CENTRAL.
This project will develop 4th Level qualifications using a ‘top-down’ approach. It will utilise existing 5th Level qualifications to draw up a pathway of skills development between the two levels.
The objective is to facilitate professional growth, in particular mobility, in vertical direction (different levels) and not just a horizontal direction (acquiring credits for qualifications of the same level).
